its not just powered by a power take off. thats only part of it.
the machines, equipment are designed for this power take off also
he uses one of the best soft serve machines their is.
if you go to david cummins web site you can find information and even check out whitby morrison in england and a video.
a mechanic cant just fix any truck for this and the cost to build it would be to much.
their not regular machines.
i have a original soft serve truck that runs of the original tech that the cummins truck is designed like.
2 drive shafts. but mine is the electrofreeze means my truck uses pto take off, belts and a gen set that puts out 250 volts 3 phase.
cummins trucks uses the modern tech. no generator. no electric.
cummins used trucks are great but if you dont know anything about the cummins design and how the trucks work. study up before you buy a used one or you might get screwed over by the seller.
some sellers dont know enough about the way these trucks work and dont repair them right.
the parts and machines to build one would run you more than what you could buy a used soft serve truck for. those trucks he builds are top of the line. ive seen them up close at my home.
good luck building one like his. you will be the first if you do.
